Build 37 keeps all 35 complete catalog languages visible in the first-start
and About selectors. Build 36 removed an entire language when Windows measured
just one fixed main-window caption as too wide, leaving only eight languages on
some systems after the retranslation. The affected captions are now concise,
and font-specific width differences no longer hide complete languages.

Build 36 adds Vietnamese for a total of 35 languages. All 33 additional
languages were completely retranslated from the English reference with DeepL
and checked automatically for completeness, placeholders, file filters, line
structure, and protected security terminology. The 2027-2034 April Fools'
messages are included in every additional language.

Build 35 immediately applies the first-start language choice to the hidden main
window, so its first appearance uses that language even when password setup is
cancelled.

Build 34 shows a language-only window on first start before any password setup.
All 34 entries now use English parenthetical language names. A saved language
skips this first-start window.

Build 32: persistent About language dropdown; new translations are machine
Build 33 adds German language names in parentheses and measures the popup
width using the actual control font. The combined external USB/PCSC profile
now requests UAC on both Windows 10 and 11, even when a smartcard is inserted.
PC/SC itself does not inherently require elevation; this combined profile uses
it deliberately so USB can also be selected. Native WebAuthn and password KDFs
retain their existing behavior. Prepared selections are handed over on OK;
cancelled UAC retains the selection and does not start file processing.
The DLL remains the identical Build 32 binary (1,322,521 bytes).

Cryptext x64 v0.12 build 37
============================

Build 32 adds shared purple/BeOS-yellow frames, custom Windows 10 title bars
and Explorer version information for the optional FIDO2 DLL. Client sizes
are preserved. See BUILD30_LESEN.txt and PRUEFSTATUS.txt.

Cryptext is a native 64-bit Windows file-encryption application using
AES-256-GCM with PBKDF2, Argon2id, scrypt, or FIDO2/YubiKey key derivation.
This is a development/test build; keep backups and initially enable “Keep
original file”.

Build 26 added PC/SC smartcards alongside USB and lets you choose the device.
Insert the card before starting Cryptext to defer automatic USB elevation.
PC/SC does not enforce an administrator token; actual reader support still
needs hardware testing. USB HID retains its administrator requirement. If a
non-FIDO card defers UAC but you need USB, restart Cryptext as administrator.
Cancellation waits for any in-flight PC/SC driver call to return.
The EXE, both DLLs, and the signed Windows 11 sparse MSIX are included in the
release package. The SDK-based package/signing script remains source/build
material only; end users do not need the Windows SDK, MakeAppx, or SignTool.
Use Diagnose_Win11_Installation.cmd for a read-only trust diagnostic report.

Build 24 gives the optional backend its explicit Windows-10 filename.
`install_shell_user.cmd` copies `CryptextFido2.Win10.dll` from `bin` to
`%LOCALAPPDATA%\Cryptext64` and removes the obsolete old filename during an
update.

The previous USB-only backend was successfully tested on Windows 10 with real hardware:
encryption, decryption after restart, and multi-file processing worked; one PIN
entry and two touches were required when creating a credential. A wrong PIN is
not retried automatically and returned 0xA1F00031. The current build suppresses the
redundant second generic Cryptext error after the DLL has already displayed its
precise CTAP/libfido2 error.

For an elevated main window, the current build selectively admits only the three
messages required by classic Explorer file drops across Windows UIPI. It does
not broadly open unrelated window messages. This change still requires a
practical Windows test.

The DLL is loaded from an absolute path beside the EXE with a restricted DLL
search path. Its libfido2, libcbor, LibreSSL, and zlib code is statically linked.
No additional third-party runtime DLL is loaded.

To keep the source package small, the complete third-party source trees are no
longer bundled. Exact archive names and hashes, versions, project URLs, complete
license notices, reproducible build instructions, and Cryptext's modified
`hid_win.c` and `pcsc.c` are retained under `scr/fido2_dll`.

LICENSES AND THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
===================================

Cryptext uses or contains reference/program code from Argon2, scrypt and the
Microsoft WebAuthn header reference and, inside `CryptextFido2.Win10.dll`,
statically linked components from libfido2, libcbor, LibreSSL and zlib.

See `LIZENZHINWEISE.txt` for the license and provenance overview. The NSIS
installer also copies the relevant original license texts into
`ThirdPartyLicenses`. The Windows system libraries `webauthn.dll` and
`bcrypt.dll` themselves are not distributed with Cryptext.
